DESCRIPTION :
Difficulty: crossing the D 217, the footbridge over the Hers.
Markings: yellow.
Steps :
1/ On leaving the car park, turn right and then left onto the Régambert road. It runs along the artisanal zone, then passes over the Hers Mort (caution: unprotected footbridge).
2/ At the fork in the road, turn right to cross a small road and continue towards Gaussens and the Tour d’Envie. Stay on the main road which turns right and continue uphill on a dirt track. At a small pass, go down to the right to the D 217. Take the road on the left. Shortly after Coupadels, pass the road leading to Cumiès (D 415) by about 250 m.
3/ Turn left onto a dirt track for 200m. At the end of a grove, the path dips to the right and then becomes grassy, overlooking the road and offering beautiful views of the Ganguise and the village of Molleville. The path passes in front of a farmhouse and continues across a wood to join the road to Belflou; follow it for 200 m.
4/ At the bend in the road, go straight ahead on a grassy path on the ridge, leaving a track on the right. Go past an old mill and continue straight ahead until you reach a crossroads with the D 333; cross it and go left towards Le Castelet (dead end).
5/ Before the house, turn left onto a dirt track. Ignore a farm on the left and go down to Saint-Michel-de-Lanès. The steep alleys (rue du Château-d’Eau) lead to the village hall.
6/ Opposite this old market hall, turn left into the Rue de la Fontaine which leads to the Route de Belflou. Cross it and return to Salles by a wide path and a small road parallel to the Hers Mort. Reach the D 333, then the crossroads of the outward journey.
7/ Turn right, cross the river (be careful) and return to the start by the same route.
