1/ From the tourist office go straight on, pass the crossroads and continue up rue Gambetta to arrive in front of the Halle de Verdun.
2/ Turn right at the foot of the Place de Verdun car park to arrive in rue Soumet. Go down this street and continue on rue du Général Dejean. Near the Théâtre des Trois Ponts, turn right on rue de la Miséricorde, and go down into the gardens of the town hall. There you will find the Paul Sibra gallery, a temporary exhibition space (as well as accessible sanitary facilities).
3/ Go past the small water basin on the left and join rue de la Miséricorde. Take the rue Neuve opposite and then the rue Prosper Estieu on the left. Turn right into rue du Général Dejean. Turn left onto the Quai de Port and pass in front of the Capitainerie.
4/ Follow the Quai du Port on the left, pass the Pont Vieux and make a detour to see the Ile de la Cybelle and the Grand Bassin. Go back towards the Pont Vieux and walk down the Avenue Pierre Paul Riquet on the left to the SNCF station.
5/ Turn right and go up the paved street, Avenue de la gare. At the end, cross Avenue Arnaut Vidal and take Rue des Lavandières to reach the Canal du Midi.
6/ Go along the Canal on the right, cross the Pont Neuf, then follow the Cours de la République by the side street on the right, to return to the starting point.
